These terms govern your use of Dhando (“the service”). By creating an account you agree to them. [Insert legal entity name and registered address.]
The service
Dhando helps you track personal finances and generate business-style reports (Income & Spending, net worth, money in & out, forecasts and a UK Self Assessment summary) from transactions you import or connect via Open Banking. It is a record-keeping and reporting tool.
Not financial, tax or legal advice
The reports, forecasts and tax figures Dhando produces are estimates generated from your data for your own information. They are not financial, investment, accounting, tax or legal advice, and must not be relied on as a substitute for a qualified professional or for your official HMRC filing. You are responsible for verifying figures before acting on them.
Your account
- You must provide accurate details and keep your password secure.
- You’re responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract in your jurisdiction.
Connected accounts
Where you connect a bank, card or broker, you authorise us (via our Open Banking / data providers) to retrieve account and transaction information on your behalf. You can revoke that access at any time; Open Banking consents also expire periodically and need renewing.
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax
Where you connect Dhando to HMRC, the service can submit Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax data on your behalf — quarterly updates, annual adjustments, and your final declaration — using figures built from the data in your account.
- You are responsible for your figures. Dhando shows you each submission to review, and you must confirm the figures are complete and correct before they are sent to HMRC. Submitting a final declaration replaces your Self Assessment return and cannot be undone.
- Dhando is a software tool, not your tax agent or adviser. It does not check, verify or guarantee that your figures are correct or complete for tax purposes.
- You remain responsible for meeting your own filing obligations and deadlines; Dhando does not assume them on your behalf.
- You authorise Dhando to connect to HMRC on your behalf via HMRC’s OAuth authorisation, and you can revoke that access at any time.
Acceptable use
- Don’t use the service unlawfully, or to store data you have no right to.
- Don’t attempt to breach security, disrupt the service, or access other users’ data.
- Don’t reverse engineer or resell the service except as the law allows.
Availability & changes
We aim for high availability but provide the service “as is” without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made in reliance on figures the service produces. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [Confirm wording and any cap with counsel.]
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to its courts. [Adjust if needed.]
